I have a Gen 2 HSS clamp on brake for my Tikka T3 in .260Rem. The fit is fantastic and literally ‘nipping’ the clamp screws (literally just offering minimal resistance to the thread on the fastening) the brake is locked solid. This is testament to perfect tolerance. It greatly reduces recoil (feels less than a .223Rem). I can spot splash and stay on target even on very close targets. It feels like cheating.
I shoot 'practical' type rifle events and the ability to stay on target and get follow up shots is very important, especially at long range in abstract and less-than-ideal shooting positions.
