I originally purchased this for the simple reason of enhancing the look of my rifle. Sadly open sights are a thing of the past and modern sightless rifles are losing the ending to their story, but this muzzle brake finished my Tikka of perfectly.
Now, performance - I installed this on my .22/250, which, in my opinion, really doesn't have any recoil of which to speak. BUT!!!! Even though the original recoil could only be described as "slight or mild" it is now "negligible", almost .22LR territory. The difference actually shocked me, I really did not expect to experience such a reduction. It is now abundantly clear why our larger calibre brethren should be investing in this attachment, clearly designed to abolish retina detachment and allow the big bore shooters to empty their wallets by allowing them to shoot all day instead of finishing early due to shoulder pain from heavy recoil.
The guys at HSS must have laughed when they received my order to fit to one to a 22cal....
Well made, easy to fit and finishes off modern rifles to a 'tee'.
